An American-Chinese co-production, the film is a remake of the 1991 film of the same name, which starred Patrick Swayze and Keanu Reeves. The film stars Édgar Ramírez, Luke Bracey, Teresa Palmer, and Ray Winstone, and was released in China on December 4, 2015, and is scheduled to be released in the United States on December 25, 2015.

In response to a record high crime rate in Johannesburg, the South African government purchases a squadron of state-of-the-art, armour-plated attack robots from weapons manufacturer Tetravaal, developed by Deon Wilson. A competing project is the remotely controlled MOOSE, developed by soldier-turned-engineer Vincent Moore. Deon is praised for Tetravaal's success but Vincent grows jealous when the police are unwilling to give his heavy weapons platform equal attention. At home, Deon creates a prototype artificial intelligence that mimics a human mind to the point of feeling emotions and having opinions, but Tetravaal CEO Michelle Bradley refuses to let him test the A.I. on a police robot. Undeterred, Deon steals a recently damaged robot before it is destroyed and puts it in his van, along with the "guard key" needed to update the robot's software. On his way home, he is kidnapped by a group of gangsters, Ninja, Yolandi, and Amerika, who threaten to kill him unless he reprograms a police robot to fight for them. Deon installs the new software into the damaged robot, which responds with childlike terror upon powering up. Deon and Yolandi calm the robot, teaching it words and naming it "Chappie". Despite Deon wanting to stay with the robot, Ninja forces him out of their hideout.

Ninja's gang only has a few days to pay a debt of 20 million rand to Hippo, a powerful gangster. Yolandi sees Chappie as a child and wants to mother him, but Ninja grows impatient with his development due to both the impending deadline for the debt and Chappie's irreplaceable battery running out, giving him days to live. Ninja tries to train Chappie to be a gangster by leaving him to fend for himself in a dangerous neighborhood. After being wounded by thugs, he is followed by Vincent, who plans to deactivate all Tetravaal weapons except for MOOSE. Vincent successfully extracts the guard key for his own use, but the traumatised Chappie escapes and returns to the hideout. Yolandi scolds Ninja for this mistreatment, but he manages to earn Chappie's forgiveness by training him in martial arts and weapon handling. Ninja and Amerika trick Chappie into stealing cars for them, and lie about needing the money to replace his dying body.

At Tetravaal, Vincent uses the guard key to upload a virus shutting down all police robots including Chappie. Johannesburg's criminals immediately start rioting in the streets, and Deon brings Chappie to the Tetravaal factory to fix him. After being restarted, Chappie notices a helmet used to control MOOSE. At the hideout, he re-engineers it to allow him to transfer his consciousness into a computer, so he can change bodies when his current one dies. Ninja's gang uses Chappie to raid a police van and steal money, which is caught on the news prompting Tetravaal to pursue him. When Chappie learns that Ninja's plan to acquire the body was a lie, he prepares to kill Ninja for betrayal. However, Deon arrives to warn them that Michelle Bradley has ordered that Chappie be destroyed. At that moment, the MOOSE robot (controlled remotely by Vincent) is launched to assassinate Deon and Chappie at the hideout and Hippo also arrives to collect his debt. Amerika and Hippo are killed in the ensuing battle while Deon is mortally wounded. When Ninja is about to be killed, Yolandi sacrifices herself to save him and Chappie destroys MOOSE by detonating a bomb.

Enraged by Yolandi's death, Chappie drives Deon to the factory, storms into an office, and fiercely beats Vincent close to death. He then transfers the dying Deon's consciousness into a spare robot through the modified MOOSE helmet. As Chappie's battery dies, the now-robotic Deon wirelessly transfers Chappie's consciousness into a deactivated police robot nearby. Deon and Chappie go into hiding as the police discontinue their contract with Tetravaal. The grieving Ninja finds a flash drive marked "Mommy's Consciousness Test Backup", which contains a copy of Yolandi's consciousness that Chappie took while testing the device on her. Chappie hacks into Tetravaal's manufacturing facility, builds a robot resembling Yolandi, and uploads the drive's contents.

Kaulder is a witch-hunter who was cursed with eternal life in the Middle Ages by the Witch Queen. The Witch Queen had unleashed the Black Plague to wipe out humanity and killed Kaulder's family, but Kaulder was able to defeat her. Prior to seemingly dying the Witch Queen cursed him with eternal life as punishment. 800 years later, Kaulder is still working as a witch hunter for an organization called The Axe and Cross, which aims to keep the truce between humans and witches. Ever since he was made immortal by the Witch Queen, Kaulder is accompanied by a priest called a "Dolan" whose main purpose is to record the achievements of Kaulder and to be his keeper. The 36th Dolan is retiring from his duties and has chosen a new Dolan to work alongside Kaulder. However, the very same night he dies in his sleep.

While investigating his apartment, Kaulder and the 37th Dolan discover traces of magic and deduce that the 36th Dolan was murdered by a witch. While tracking down the witch responsible, Kaulder finds traces of old dark magic, last seen before he killed the Witch Queen. Using clues the 36th Dolan left behind, Kaulder goes to a witch bar owned by Chloe to buy a memory spell to "Remember his death". While in the process of reliving his memory, the bar is attacked by Baltasar Ketola, better known as Belial, the witch that killed the 36th Dolan. After attacking Kaulder he proceeds to burn down the place, and attack Chloe at her apartment later in the evening, though Kaulder saves her. After Chloe's friend is killed by Belial, she agrees to help Kaulder get what he needs to kill him.

In order to get the ingredients to create another memory spell, they visit Danique, an old and powerful witch who runs the fashion scene. However, Danique drugs Kaulder with an endless dream, and intends to lock him away forever. Chloe is able to enter his mind as a dream walker and convinces him to break free from the hold of the spell, and the two escape together. Using Chloe's dream walking abilities, she enters his mind and guides him to the memory of his death, where Kaulder discovers that the Witch Queen's heart never stopped beating. Kaulder's immortality is tied to the Witch Queen's heart, and if it were to die, so would he. The 36th Dolan was attacked because he knew of where the heart was hidden.

Leaving Chloe and the 37th Dolan behind, Kaulder goes to face Belial and the Witch Queen to prevent her from returning. Though he kills Belial, the Witch Queen reenters the world through the sacrifice of another witch, a blind merchant named Max Schlesinger, and escapes into the city, stealing Kaulder's immortality, revealing she only gave it to him to give herself a future. Back at Kaulder's apartment, the 36th Dolan is recovering, having not actually been killed but rather under a spell that was broken when Belial was killed. There, he encourages Kaulder to continue to fight again.

Kaulder, Chloe, and the 37th Dolan drive to the church that hold the Witch's prison, where the Witch Queen plans to enact another plague curse using the prisoners being kept there. Using her dream walking ability, Chloe enters the mind of one of the prisoners and kills him in his dream, also killing him in real life, severing the connection of the Queen to the prisoners and temporarily stalling her plan. Kaulder fights the Witch Queen, and appears close to killing her, until the 37th Dolan reveals himself a traitor with a grudge against Kaulder for killing his witch parents. The Witch Queen uses Chloe to complete the connection between the witches and the plague curse begins to form again. She kills the 37th Dolan for his mortality before turning her attention back to Kaulder.

Willed by the images of his deceased wife and child telling him to get up and fight, Kaulder throws his sword into the Witch Queen, and her body deteriorates. But as Kaulder prepares to kill the Witch Queen's heart to end her once and for all, Chloe stops him, convincing him that she and the world still need him around. After congratulating him on defeating the Witch Queen, the 36th Dolan agrees to delay his retirement and stay by Kaulder's side. Chloe does as well, and the three form a new team, free from the organization he served under before. The film ends with a faint sound of the heartbeat of the Witch Queen heard within Kaulder's weapon stash in his apartment.

Six years after the events of the first film, Paul Blart is recovering from several misfortunes. His wife Amy divorced him six days into their marriage, and his mother Margaret was killed after being hit by a milk truck. To feel better, Paul takes pride in patrolling his mall, the West Orange Pavilion Mall. Paul receives an invitation to a security officers' convention in Las Vegas and begins to believe his luck is about to change. His daughter Maya Blart discovers that she was accepted into UCLA and plans to move across the country to Los Angeles, but in light of her father's invitation, she decides to withhold the information for now.

After arriving in Las Vegas, Paul and his daughter meet the general manager of Wynn Hotel, a pretty young woman named Divina Martinez, whom Paul is instantly attracted to. He later learns that she's dating the hotel's head of security, Eduardo Furtillo. Meanwhile, Maya falls in love with the hotel's valet, Lane. A security guard from the Mall of America attending the convention, Donna Ericone, is aware of Paul's earlier heroics in the West Orange Pavilion Mall incident and believes Paul will be the likely keynote speaker at the event. However, Paul discovers that another security guard, Nick Panero, is giving the speech.

In the midst of the convention, a criminal named Vincent Sofel and a gang of accomplices disguised as hotel employees are secretly plotting to steal priceless works of art from the hotel and replace them with replicas, then sell the real ones at auction. In the meantime, Paul has become overprotective of Maya after discovering her flirting with Lane and spies on their conversations. He is later mocked by Eduardo for his lack of professionalism in an event where hotel security was notified when Maya went missing. In an ensuing argument with her father, Maya boldly claims she's attending UCLA despite Paul's wishes that she remain close to home at a junior college.

At the convention, Paul, Donna, and three other security guards, Saul Gundermutt, Khan Mubi, and Gino Chizzeti check out the non-lethal security equipment on display. Later, Paul finds Panero drunk hitting on a woman at the bar. Paul attempts to defuse the situation and Panero passes out, giving Paul a chance to be the event's speaker. He contacts Maya asking her to attend, but he learns that she's at a party with Lane. As Paul prepares his speech, Vincent and his cohorts put their plan into motion. Maya absentmindedly walks into the midst of the heist and is taken hostage. Lane is kidnapped as well while searching for her. Paul gives a rousing speech that moves everyone at the convention, as well as Divina, who inexplicably finds herself becoming more attracted to Paul with each passing moment. Following the speech, Paul learns about Maya and Lane's situation and rushes to help but passes out due to his hypoglycemic condition that has plagued him for years.

After recovering, Paul is able to take down several of Vincent's thugs and gathers intel on the group's intentions. Using non-lethal equipment from the convention, he is able to take out more of Vincent's crew. Meanwhile, Maya and Lane overhear Vincent adamantly refusing an oatmeal cookie due to a severe oatmeal allergy. Working with a team – Donna, Saul, Khan, and Gino – Paul is able to clumsily dismantle Vincent's operation, with Maya severely incapacitating Vincent by rubbing oatmeal-infused sunscreen on his face. Afterward, Paul convinces Divina that her attraction for him is misplaced, and Eduardo is who she should really be with. Paul also accepts Maya going to UCLA, funding her tuition with the reward money he obtained for stopping Vincent. After dropping off Maya at UCLA, Paul falls in love with a passing Sheriff's Deputy who reciprocates his advances.

In 1963, professional thief turned CIA agent Napoleon Solo extracts Gaby Teller, daughter of Udo Teller, an alleged Nazi scientist turned United States collaborator at the end of World War II, from East Berlin, evading KGB operative Illya Kuryakin. He later reports to his superior, Saunders, who reveals that Teller’s uncle Rudi works in a shipping company owned by Alexander and Victoria Vinciguerra, a wealthy couple of Nazi sympathizers who intend to use Teller's father to build their own private nuclear weapon. Due to the potentially world-ending nature of this crisis, the CIA and KGB have reluctantly teamed up and Solo and Kuryakin are ordered to stop the Vinciguerras from succeeding, with both men secretly assigned to steal Udo Teller's research for their respective governments.

The trio travels to Rome, where Teller and Kuryakin pose as an engaged couple and Solo as an antiquities dealer. Solo deduces they are being monitored and instructs Kuryakin not to react to provocation so as to preserve this cover. Despite their hostilities towards each other, Kuryakin heeds his advice and does not react when his father’s prized watch is stolen. Later, at an auto racing event promoted by the Vinciguerras, Solo and Teller take turns flirting with the host couple to lure out information about Teller's father, while Kuryakin acquires evidence the Vinciguerras were recently exposed to radiation, indicating that their weapon is near completion.

Solo and Kuryakin begrudgingly join forces to break into a Vinciguerra shipping yard, in which they find traces of uranium. After accidentally setting off the alarm, they escape into the water only to find their way blocked. During the ensuing scuffle with the guards, Kuryakin nearly drowns in the waters but is saved by Solo. Although a suspicious Victoria pursues them with her henchmen, Solo and Kuryakin manage to slip past into their own rooms undetected, and Victoria and Solo spend the night together. The following day, Teller meets with Rudi and Alexander to discuss a job but unexpectedly betrays Kuryakin to them, forcing him to escape, while Solo is sedated and captured by Victoria and taken to a nearby warehouse to be tortured by Rudi. Solo is saved by Kuryakin, allowing Rudi to reveal that the weapon is hidden in an island fortress, where Teller has been reunited with her father. Udo pretends to resume work on the weapon to protect her, which has a secondary decoy that can home in on it for added impact, but although Teller attempts to help her father escape and sabotage the warhead, Victoria discovers the deception and kills him.

Meanwhile, Solo and Kuryakin are approached by Alexander Waverly, a high-ranking MI6 operative who reveals that Teller is an undercover agent under his employ. He and his Royal Marines help Solo and Kuryakin infiltrate the Vinciguerras’ compound. Alexander Vinciguerra attempts to escape with Teller and the warhead, but is intercepted by Kuryakin and killed. However, the warhead Vinciguerra was taking with him was the decoy, allowing Victoria to leave undetected on another boat with the real one. Solo is able to contact her via radio and keep her on the line long enough for Waverly to locate her and launch the homing decoy, simultaneously destroying the weapon and the boat, taking Victoria with it, while Solo retrieves the disc with Teller’s father’s research.

Kuryakin confronts Solo in his hotel room, intending to kill him and steal the disc, but changes his mind when Solo produces his father’s watch, which he had retrieved. The two appear to destroy the disc so as to prevent both their countries from gaining the upper hand in the nuclear race. They then reunite with Teller and Waverly, who reveals that the trio has been reassigned to a new international organization under his command. He then deploys them on a new mission in Istanbulunder their new codename: U.N.C.L.E.

In a prologue, the witch Mother Malkin is imprisoned in an underground chamber by Gregory, the last of a knightly order known as the Falcons, who have long defended humanity against supernatural threats. Several decades later, Gregory now works as a "Spook," a roving witch hunter.

The rise of the centennial Blood moon allows Malkin to regain much of her power and break free from her prison. In a confrontation with the aged Gregory, she kills his apprentice, William Bradley, before escaping. Gregory then seeks out Tom Ward, the seventh son of a seventh son, on a local farmstead, and recruits him as his newest apprentice. Before Tom leaves, his mother gives him her necklace as a talisman.

On their way to Gregory's home, Tom sees a girl about to be burned by a mob as a witch. Recognizing her from clairvoyant visions he has had, he takes her from the mob and releases her. The girl, Alice, warns him not to let Gregory know about her.

Malkin returns to her dilapidated mountain fortress, restoring it, and her sister, Bony Lizzie, to their former condition. Alice is revealed to be Lizzie's daughter, who spies on Gregory for her. Malkin begins gathering her army to conquer the world of humans.

Tom meets Gregory's assistant Tusk, and rushes to learn what he needs to become a Spook before he and Gregory leave to confront Malkin at her fortress. Gregory warns that they have only a week before the Blood Moon is full, after which Malkin will be too powerful to stop. En route to the fortress, Gregory is summoned to a walled city, by anInquisitor whose forces have subdued one of Malkin's followers: a werebear named Urag. Gregory instructs Tom to burn the warlock alive, but Tom hesitates, causing Gregory to dismiss him while burning Urag himself. Tom meets Alice again and the two briefly consider going off on their own, but Tom has a vision of Malkin killing Gregory and unleashing destruction upon the world. Tom rejoins Gregory, who reveals that he once loved Malkin, and that is why he could not kill her, even after she murdered Gregory's own wife. Gregory feels responsible for every person killed by Malkin since then, and warns Tom that Alice must be killed, like all witches.

Gregory, Tom, and Tusk are attacked on the road by an enormous boggart, and Tom narrowly manages to kill it and survive being swept down a waterfall. Tom is then confronted by Bony Lizzie, who attacks but is repelled by the necklace around his neck. Gregory recognizes it as the Umbran Stone, which increases the power of witches. It originally belonged to Malkin, but one of her witch followers - Tom's mother - stole it from her, weakening her enough for Gregory to trap her.

Malkin instructs Alice to steal the stone from Tom, promising to spare his life if she does. Malkin and her minions then raze the city to the ground to avenge Urag. Tom's family happens to be in the city, and his mother sends her husband and daughter to safety, before confronting Malkin with her own powers. Malkin kills her, mocking her for giving away the stone that would have saved her life.

Out in the country, Alice reappears before Tom and pleads with him to leave with her, as he had suggested in their earlier meeting. Gregory tries to kill her, but Tom, blinded by love, stops him, proclaiming "She's not the enemy!". He lets her flee, but Gregory points out she has taken the necklace with the magic stone from around Tom's neck, replying, "Now tell me she's innocent!" Tom realizes her reappearance had been a ruse, and pursues her, with Gregory and Tusk following. Then Malkin's servant Radu attacks them, capturing Gregory and driving Tusk and Tom over a cliff, wrongly assuming them dead. Tom has a vision of his mother, telling him that as both the seventh son of a seventh son, and the son of a witch, he is unique and has the power to defeat Malkin.

The witches gather as Malkin attempts to seduce Gregory with her magic. Alice is horrified to hear that Tom was left for dead. In remorse, she grabs the stone from Malkin, breaking Malkin's hold on Gregory. As Malkin transforms into a dragon to kill Alice, Lizzie also transforms, to protect her daughter. Tom retrieves the stone and, fighting together, Gregory, Tom and Alice kill several of Malkin's minions. Malkin defeats and kills Lizzie for her disloyalty, but is seriously wounded in turn. Gregory confronts Malkin in her room, alone. She appears close to death, but Malkin then seizes him with her claws. Tom arrives and throws a blade at Malkin, freeing Gregory, who walks away. Tom finishes her off by burning her body.

Afterwards, Gregory acknowledges Tom's training is complete and brands his hand as a new Falcon knight. Alice appears, but accepts that Tom's commitment to his new vocation means they cannot be together at the present. She promises Tom that they'll meet again, before disappearing. Gregory departs for an unknown destination, leaving Tom with Tusk. Then the town bells ring, calling for the new Spook's services.

Friends Reed Richards and Ben Grimm have worked together on a prototype teleporter since childhood, eventually attracting the attention of ProfessorFranklin Storm, director of the Baxter Foundation, a government-sponsored research institute for young prodigies. Reed is recruited to join them and aid Storm's children, scientist Sue Storm and the somewhat reckless technicianJohnny Storm, into completing a "Quantum Gate" designed by Storm's wayward protégé, Victor von Doom, who begrudgingly agrees to help due to his unrequited feelings for Sue.

The experiment is successful, and the facility's supervisor, Dr. Allen, plans to send a group from NASA to venture into a parallel dimension known as "Planet Zero". Disappointed at being denied the chance to join the expedition, Reed, Johnny, and Victor along with Ben use the Quantum Gate to embark on an unsanctioned voyage to Planet Zero, which they learn is a world filled with otherworldly substances. Victor attempts to touch the green-lava like substance, causing the surface they are on to collapse and the ground to erupt. Reed, Johnny, and Ben return to their shuttle just as Sue brings them back to Earth. Victor is left behind after he falls into the collapsing landscape. The machine explodes, altering Reed, Sue, Johnny, and Ben on a molecular-genetic level, affording them super-human conditions and abilities beyond their control: Reed can stretch like rubber, Sue can become invisible and generate force fields of energy, Johnny can engulf his entire body in flames and fly, and Ben becomes bigger and develops a rock-like hide which gives him enhanced strength and durability. They are then placed in government custody and confinement to be studied and have their conditions and abilities tested. Blaming himself for the accident, Reed escapes from the facility and tries to find a cure for their changes.

One year later, Reed is now a fugitive and has built a suit that is able to adapt to his body's plasticity and also helps him control his ability. Hiding in Central America, he is eventually found by the United States military with Sue's help and captured by Ben, who has become a military asset along with Johnny and Sue. Johnny and Sue have been outfitted with specialized suits designed to keep up with their conditions and abilities and to help them stabilize, control, and contain their abilities. Reed is brought to Area 57, where Dr. Allen conscripts him to open another portal to Planet Zero in exchange for giving Reed the necessary resources to find a cure. Arriving in Planet Zero, Dr. Allen's explorers find Victor, who has been fused to his spacesuit and can now control the elements, as well as having telekinetic abilities, and bring him back to Earth. Believing the human race needs to be destroyed so he can rebuild Planet Zero in his image, Victor kills scientists and soldiers in the base including Dr. Allen and Professor Storm and returns to Planet Zero using the Quantum Gate, with Ben, Johnny, Reed, and Sue in pursuit.

Now dubbing himself "Doom", he activates a portal on Planet Zero using a structure he made while in the realm, that begins consuming the landscape of the Earth. He is confronted by the four and, after a destructive battle, Ben punches Doom into the portal's energy beam, disintegrating him, while Johnny closes the portal. Returning to Earth, the group is rewarded for their heroics by being given a new base of operations by the United States military. They decide to use their powers to help people and adopt the mantle of the "Fantastic Four".

At the beginning of the story, Earth's residents are unaware that the human species on Earth and countless other planets were established^[17] by families of transhuman and alien royalty^[18] for the purpose of later "harvesting" the resultingorganisms to produce a type of youth serum for the elites on still other planets.^[19] After the death of the matriarch of the House of Abrasax, the most powerful of the alien dynasties,^[9] her children, Balem (Eddie Redmayne), Kalique (Tuppence Middleton), and Titus (Douglas Booth), quarrel over the inheritance, with Balem inheriting an enormous refinery on Jupiterand Titus declaring his intention to dismantle the youth serum trade, of which Earth is the next intended source. Protagonist Jupiter Jones (Mila Kunis) narrates that her father, Maximilian Jones (James D'Arcy), met her mother, Aleksa (Maria Doyle Kennedy), in Saint Petersburg. After Maximilian is killed in a robbery, Aleksa names their daughter Jupiter, after his favorite planet, and they move to Chicago to live with Aleksa's family.

Many years later, Jupiter works with Aleksa and her Aunt Nino (Frog Stone) to clean the homes of wealthy neighbors. To buy a telescope, Jupiter agrees to sell her eggs with the help of her cousin Vladie (Kick Gurry), under the name of her friend Katharine Dunlevy (Vanessa Kirby). At Katharine's house, Jupiter and Katharine are attacked by extraterrestrial 'Keepers'; and when Jupiter photographs these, they erase her memory of the incident. During the egg donation procedure, the doctors and nurses are revealed to be Balem's agents, sent to kill her, and she is saved by Caine Wise (Channing Tatum), a former soldier sent by Titus. Stinger Apini (Sean Bean), an old comrade of Caine's, agrees to help Jupiter, but a group of hunters takes her to Kalique's palace on a distant planet, where Kalique explains that Jupiter is genetically identical to the dead matriarch, and therefore the Earth's rightful owner. Supported by Captain Diomika Tsing (Nikki Amuka-Bird) of theAegis (an intergalactic police force), Caine retrieves her from Kalique, and brings her to the planet Ores (the intergalactic capital planet) to claim her inheritance.

Meanwhile, Balem sends Greeghan (Ariyon Bakare) to kidnap Jupiter's family. On the way back to Earth, Titus detains Jupiter and Caine, to whom he reveals his plan to marry and then kill Jupiter and claim Earth before throwing Caine into thevoid; but Caine survives and saves Jupiter at the altar. Jupiter asks to return home, but learns that her family has been taken hostage by Balem. In his refinery in the Great Red Spot, Balem demands Earth in exchange for Jupiter's family. Realizing that Balem can "harvest" Earth only with her permission, Jupiter refuses. Balem tries to kill Jupiter; but she defeats him in a fight, and is rescued by Caine, Stinger, and Tsing while Balem falls to his death. Jupiter's family is returned home with no memory of their disappearance, while Jupiter secretly retains ownership of the Earth. Her family buys her the telescope she wanted and Caine receives a pair of wings earlier removed from his body. Jupiter also gains the boots like Caine's and we see them kissing on the rooftop.

During the ending credits it is revealed that the planets that make up the universe form endless DNA patterns showing how vast the harvesting industry is.

An adult Frank Walker and Casey Newton relate to the audience their experiences, beginning with Frank's visit to the 1964 New York World's Fairas a child. In the flashback, he meets David Nix, an official who is unimpressed with Frank's limited jet pack. Frank does draw the attention of a young girl named Athena. Seeing his potential, Athena gives Frank a pin embossed with a "T" symbol and tells him to follow her aboard the fair's "It's a Small World" attraction. Frank sneaks onto the ride, where his pin is scanned and he is transported into a futuristic cityscape known as Tomorrowland. He falls from a ledge, but straps on his jet pack and lands safely before Nix and Athena.

The narration then shifts to the present, where Casey Newton, who sneaks into a decommissioned NASA launch pad inCape Canaveral, where her father Eddie is an engineer. She sabotages the machines that are dismantling the launch pad and returns home where Athena sneaks another pin that is programmed to Casey's DNA into Casey's motorcycle helmet. The next night, Casey attempts to break into the NASA compound again, but is arrested. At the police station, she sees the pin among her personal items, and discovers that upon contact, the pin instantly shows her a view of Tomorrowland that only she can see. She briefly explores the vision until the pin's battery runs out.

Assisted by her brother Nate, Casey finds a Houston memorabilia store related to the pin, but upon meeting the two owners, Hugo and Ursula, Casey is questioned about it, and when she says she knows nothing else about it, they attack her. Athena bursts in and fights Hugo and Ursula, who are both revealed to be robots. The two girls escape as the robots self-destruct, destroying the store. After stealing a car, Athena reveals that she is an Audio-Animatronic robot, and the one who gave Casey the pin, revealing that she needs her help to save the world. Athena drives Casey to Frank's home inPittsfield, New York and leaves her there.

The reclusive Frank declines Casey's request for an audience, but she manages to lure him out of the house and sneak in, locking him out. Frank re-enters through a secret tunnel and tells her angrily that he was thrown out of Tomorrowland and cannot go back. He also asks if she would like to know the exact moment of her death. Casey ponders whether accepting the truth about her time of death would actually be the cause of it, and while she admits that she would like him to tell her, says that she probably would not believe him, preferring to make her own destiny. When she says this, a monitor showing the probability of the end of the world changes its reading from 100% to 99.9994, which startles Frank. Robots agents appear at Frank's house ordering him to turn over Casey or be killed.

After evading the robots and reuniting with Athena, the trio uses a teleportation machine that Frank invented, and transport themselves to the Eiffel Tower in Paris. They enter a room with mannequins of Gustave Eiffel, Jules Verne, Nikola Tesla, and Thomas Edison. Frank explains that the four men were the founders of Plus Ultra, a group of inventors dedicated to finding other dreamers and inventors who shared the hope of shaping a better future, which eventually led them to discover a new dimension where Tomorrowland was founded. The trio enter a rocket hidden underneath the tower, which launches into outer space and after traveling through dimensions, lands back on Earth, arriving at a now desolate Tomorrowland. Nix appears to greet them, and takes them to a building linked to a tachyon machine designed by Frank himself that can show images from the past and future, from which Casey learns that a worldwide catastrophe will happen in the near future. Because of this discovery, Frank lost all hope and was banished from Tomorrowland. Casey does not accept that the world is destined to end, and the future slightly changes as a result, a fact that Frank glimpses, but which Nix ignores before ordering them arrested instead.

As they await being sent back to Earth, Casey realizes that a side effect of utilizing tachyons to obtain information about the future is that it introduces a backfeed into the time flow. It makes the future it shows all the more likely to occur, creating aself-fulfilling prophecy. Destroying the device could avert the apocalypse. Nix opens a portal to an idyllic beach dimension, inviting them to live out the last days there, but Frank refuses, seeing that Nix has simply given up on Earth and intends to allow the apocalypse to happen. A fight ensues and Frank tries to use a bomb to blow up the machine. Mistakenly, the bomb goes off outside the portal and the explosion pins Nix's leg under debris. Nix retrieves a plasma gun and aims at Frank. Athena, who was able to see it happening beforehand due to the tachyon images, jumps in front of him and is damaged beyond repair, which activates her self-destruct sequence. In her last moments of consciousness, Athena instructs Frank to take her to the machine and reveals that she loved him. Her self-destruction takes down the machine and kills Nix as well.

Back in the present, Frank and Casey's audience revealed to be androids like Athena, who are entrusted with new pins and instructed to bring other "dreamers" to Tomorrowland.

Susan Cooper (Melissa McCarthy) is a desk-bound CIA analyst guiding her partner Agent Bradley Fine (Jude Law) on a mission to Varna from a CIA office in the Washington, D.C. area. Fine kills Tihomir Boyanov after he sneezes without first finding a suitcase nuke whose location is known only to Boyanov. Meanwhile, the agency learns that Boyanov's daughter Rayna (Rose Byrne) might know the location of her father's device, so they send Fine to infiltrate her home. However, Rayna shoots Fine dead while Susan watches online. Rayna knows the identities of all the agency's top agents, including Fine and Rick Ford (Jason Statham). Susan, who is unknown to Rayna, volunteers to become a field agent, and her boss, Elaine Crocker (Allison Janney), agrees. Ford quits in disgust over Susan being chosen for the assignment.

Susan is sent to Paris to spy on Sergio De Luca (Bobby Cannavale). Later that night, Ford appears in the hotel Susan is staying at and insists that she will ruin the mission due to being an inexperienced field agent. The next morning, Susan sees an assassin working for De Luca, and one of his contacts, exchanging Ford's bag for one with a bomb inside it. Susan warns Ford, then catches up to the assassin, but he is killed when they fight. Susan follows De Luca to Rome, where she meets her contact Aldo (Peter Serafinowicz), a suave Italian informant who makes inappropriate advances towards her. Susan meets Rayna in a casino, prevents Rayna's assassination, and becomes part of her inner circle. When they fly in her private plane to Budapest, the steward kills the bodyguard and pilots and tries to kill Rayna, but Susan subdues him and lands the plane in Budapest.

Rayna believes Susan to be a CIA spy, but Susan convinces Rayna that her father hired her to be Rayna's bodyguard. In Budapest, the two encounter Susan's best friend Nancy B. Artingstall (Miranda Hart), who is sent by Crocker to provide back-up. After being shot at in the street, Susan orders Nancy to get Rayna to safety while she pursues the shooter's vehicle. The shooter turns out to be CIA double agent Karen Walker (Morena Baccarin), who sold Rayna the names of the agents. As she is about to shoot Susan, Walker is killed by an unknown sniper. Later that night, Susan and Nancy accompany Rayna to a party. The contact is De Luca's associate, Lia (Nargis Fakhri). Nancy creates a diversion so Susan can fight Lia, who is a skilled assassin. Just as Susan is about to arrest Lia, she is fatally stabbed in the chest by an unknown assailant, who turns out to be Bradley Fine. Susan is captured and is told that Fine faked his death so he could become Rayna's lover.

After Susan is imprisoned with Aldo in a bunker, Fine appears and reveals to Susan that the real reason he faked his death was to gain intelligence on the device's location, which could only happen if he gained Rayna's trust. Fine also reveals that he was the one who assassinated Karen. Susan and Aldo escape after subduing two bodyguards. Eventually, Susan accompanies Rayna and Fine at De Luca's mansion while posing as a double agent. Chechen terrorist Solsa Dudaev (Richard Brake) and his men arrive to purchase the device for a suitcase full of diamonds. Rayna then reveals the location of the device. However, De Luca, now in possession of the device and doubting that Dudaev can safely smuggle it into the United States, kills him and his men and keeps the diamonds. De Luca intends to sell the device to someone who can transport it to New York City within a week. As De Luca is about to kill Rayna, Ford appears and distracts him, allowing Susan to save Rayna's life again.

De Luca escapes with the device and diamonds on his helicopter, with Susan and Ford clinging to the landing gear. Ford loses his grip, causing him to fall into the lake ocean, leaving Susan to confront De Luca in the helicopter alone. After Nancy and Aldo arrive in a helicopter and help Susan kill De Luca, Crocker shows up to recover the device. Rayna is arrested, but it is implied that she has come to like Susan as a friend. After Aldo reveals to Susan that his real name is Albert and he is anMI6 agent, he invites her to dinner should they ever cross paths in London, which Susan accepts. Susan declines a similar offer from Fine and instead opts for a girls' night out with Nancy. The next morning, Susan is shown screaming after waking up amidst empty champagne bottles, realizing that she has slept with Ford.

In 1982, when Sam Brenner and Will Cooper are 13-year-old avid arcade-game players, a time capsule is launched into space containing avideocassette with video-game scenes. The two boys meet fellow players Ludlow Lamonsoff and Eddie Plant.

In the present, Brenner works installing home-theater systems and Cooper is the President of the United States. In Guam, a U.S. military base is attacked. Its soldiers are easily defeated and Sergeant Dylan Cohen is abducted.

Brenner, working at the home of divorcée Violet Van Patten and her son Matty, heads to the White House at Cooper's request. To his surprise, he finds Violet is a Lieutenant Colonel. Shown video of the attack, Brenner says it was carried out like in the old video gameGalaga. Later, Ludlow takes Brenner to his home and tell him he's interpreted messages saying the aliens are attacking with creatures based on classic video-game designs, since they found the videocassette images a threat. If they win three rounds, they will claim the Earth. Though they and Cooper determine that the next attack will happen in India, they are too late. The Taj Mahal is attacked with Arkanoid paddles and another person is abducted as a trophy.

Brenner and Ludlow train soldiers to play these old games. Violet shows Brenner and Ludlow that the pixels are taken down by strong light beams. The next attack is in London, where the soldiers lack the skill to defeat the protagonist of Centipede. Brenner and Ludlow defeat it, however, and the aliens send a congratulatory message.

New York City is next, but the team needs help. Ludlow and Cooper retrieve an imprisoned Eddie, who is serving a sentence for fraud. Cooper agrees to let Eddie out of prison and relinquish his taxes in exchange for his help. The team discovers it must face the title character from Pac-Man and in order to succeed must defeat him three times. Violet presents them with four Mini Cooper cars based on the Pac-Man ghosts, with the other car driven by the game's creator, Toru Iwatani. Iwatani tries to appeal to Pac-Man as a son, but gets his hand bitten off. Eddie defeats Pac-Man twice but accidentally drives into the East River. Brenner eventually achieves the third defeat. The team celebrates but the aliens send message saying someone cheated and the contest for the planet has been forfeited. Matty discovers Eddie used aspeed cheat. Eddie flees and Matty is abducted as a trophy.

The aliens cascade more video games on Washington, D.C. as they prepare to take over. Cooper joins the team, while Ludlow stays to fight. One alien takes the form of Lady Lisa, a character on whom Ludlow has had a crush since childhood. She fights Ludlow until he says he loves her, and they share a kiss. Eddie returns to fight as well. Brenner, Violet, Cooper and Q*Bert, previously given as a trophy, are brought up to the space ship by Max Headroom. There they face the title character from Donkey Kong, who rolls barrels at the group to prevent them reaching the captives. Brenner throws a hammer at Donkey Kong, destroying him.

The team is hailed as heroes and a peace agreement is reached with the aliens. Ludlow says he's disappointed that Lady Lisa was taken back with the aliens, and, feeling sorry for him, Q*bert transforms into Lady Lisa. Brenner and Violet become a couple, while Eddie gets a text message from Serena Williams and Martha Stewart. A year later, Lady Lisa and Ludlow are married and have Q-Bert children, named Q*by.
